Size Guide

You will need the following items:

  • Soft measuring tape (If you do not have one, you can use a shoelace or string, then measure against a 12 inch ruler. See below for directions how to measure without a measuring tape.)
  • Piece of paper
  • Pen

Before measuring: wear either a fitted t-shirt or a tank top. Do not wear a sports bra or any type of compression or binder before measuring - we want to get the most accurate measurement possible!

A - Chest Measurement

Starting at ‘zero’ on your measuring tape, wrap the tape around your chest at the fullest part of your chest. Make sure the tape is at the same level all around your body and parallel to the floor. Have the tape meet at your center; you want it to be pulled taut but not pinching your skin or compressing your chest at all.
Holding the tape, breathe in and exhale, and then take the measurement to the nearest 1/4 of an inch where the tape overlaps itself. (See photo)

Be honest!

We want you to be perfectly comfortable in your awesome binder!

Sometimes it is helpful to stand in front of a mirror when taking measurements to see the numbers in the reflection;and to make sure your tape is horizontally even.

Write down this number. (Example: 37”)

B - Shoulder Measurement

This measurement is across your back, from shoulder blade to shoulder blade. You want this measurement to be from the highest and widest point from one shoulder straight across to the other shoulder. Holding the measuring tape at zero, place one end firmly at your back left shoulder and then pull across to the right at the widest part. The measuring tape may arc slightly up in the center and back down to the other shoulder point; this will give you the most accurate measurement. (See Photo)

This measurement is extremely important because this will determine your comfort in taking the binder on and off. Take the measurement two times; if you find you are in between sizes, choose the larger size.

Write down this number. (Example: 16”)

Find binder size

By consulting the chart below, find your chest measurement. Then, find your shoulder width. If you find that these two measurements fall under two different size columns, then choose the larger size.

(Example: our shoulder width is 16” and our chest measurement is 37”, so therefore our binder size is: L)

Please remember: do not intentionally go down a size; your binder will not fit.

* How to Measure yourself without a tape measure:

Not everyone has a tape measure, we get it! But you can use household items like: twine, a shoelace, or cell phone charger cord to figure out your measurements. You will also need a 12 inch ruler. Use your “tape measure” and follow the directions on the other pages for bra and binder measuring. Mark the twine, shoelace, or charger cord where it overlaps at your center front. Then, using your 12 inch ruler, measure your length of “tape” to determine how many lengths to get to your mark, (Example, let’s say my measurement was 34”; I would measure two lengths of 12 inches plus 10” to get my number: 12” + 12” + 10” = 34”). Don’t forget to write your numbers down! And make sure you follow the correct markings! We are here to help if you need us.
